Prolonged exposure to the microwave radiation emitted by cell phones can have cumulative effects on the body, particularly in conditions of serious derangements of the immune system. Studies have shown that long-term, low-intensity microwave irradiation from cell phones can induce non-specific adaptive reactions in the body, and in some cases, can lead to cancerous effects if the balance between cellular repair systems and damage is disrupted (1).
Additionally, the cumulative effects of cell phone radiation exposure may be more pronounced in certain populations, such as children and the elderly. Children's brains absorb 10 times more microwave radiation than adults, and the elderly have been found to have a higher incidence of genetic damage from regular cell phone use (5).
